RedeApp Communities may look and act like other social media platforms you've used in the past. Some of that is on purpose but other settings are intentionally very distinct to RedeApp.
-------------
To start, know that every RedeApp network has by default two Communities.
- One is called 'All Members' and is a collection of all active and connected members in your network.
- the All Members community is viewable by all members.
- All Members is set to only allow community posts by Moderators only. Master + Community Admins can edit this configuration if desired.
- the name 'All Members' can be edited to whatever you need to more match your organizations way of saying "Everyone here" or "All Team Members" or "All Owners" or even "Org News". The choice is yours. Whatever you name it, just make sure to have fun with it.
- The second Community is called 'All Guests' and is a collection of all active and connected guests in your network.
- the All Guests is viewable by all your guests. Only Guests and Master + Community Admins will see the All Guests network.
- All Guests is set to only allow community posts by Moderators only. Master + Community Admins can edit this configuration if desired.
- the name All Guests can be edited to whatever you want, just like with All Members.
Next, know that every community has moderators.
- Only moderators can add additional moderators.
- Additional moderators can be added to each community if needed.
- Moderators for each individual community can edit the community setup/details, delete community posts, replies, and comments, etc.
- Moderators also have the ability to remove members (and guests if applicable) from a specific community.
Plus, Community Posts are "evergreen."
This means that when new members or guests join a Community, previous posts are viewable.
Often when new members join your network, there is an information gap that takes time to fill in. With Community posts, you can allow new members to search and find previous updates, news, and information.
Lastly, if you (as a Master Admin) need additional Communities Settings, there are more available in the RedeApp Admin Console.
- In the Admin Console you can select if you want to allow all members to create new communities.
- You can set up automated removal of Guests based on number of days of inactivity.
- You can assign additional Community Admins.
