The only constant in life is change. Whether it be a new email, a new phone number, or a new last name (Mazel Tov!) you can make sure everything is up to date in the Account Info tab in your RedeApp. This part of RedeApp is where your most personal details regarding your account live.
RedeApp requires that each user have a unique username, email address, and password to create an account. In the Account Info section of your settings, you can change or update that information along with your name or phone number. This is also where you will find the ability to turn on (or off) Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
The following steps are all related to your account, if you need help sprucing up your avatar, status, or about me section, please see our "How do I edit my profile information?" article.
Where to go to edit your RedeApp Account Info:
Two accounts can not share the same email, username, or phone number. Your email, username, and phone number have to be specific to only your account.
To change, update, or edit the credentials listed above, type in the desired name, username, or email and tap "Save" to ensure your changes will be applied to your Account.
How to verify your phone number on your RedeApp account:
A verified phone number can be used to log in or recover your account if you forget your password.
To verify a phone number to be used with RedeApp it must be a mobile phone number that can receive SMS text messages. You can not verify a landline phone number within RedeApp.
If you try to edit a phone number that is already verified, you will be met with a prompt –
"You already have a confirmed phone number on your account. Are you sure you want to edit your phone number?".
If you hit yes, you will replace your verified phone number and will have to repeat the above steps to re-verify a phone number.
If you need to remove a verified phone number from your account please reach out to our Support Team at support@redeapp.com. We're happy to help!
How to enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on your RedeApp Account:
Note - In order to set up MFA, you must have a verified mobile phone number associated on your Account.
**Once this feature has been turned on, every time after entering your login credentials, you will be prompted to enter a code you will receive by text message.**
If you have followed the steps above, you have now enabled Multi-Factored Authentication on your RedeApp Account.
If you are experiencing issues or receiving an error message at any point during this process, reach out to our support team at support@redeapp.com. We're here to help!
